Claudio’s
and Erica’s Baptism
Monica and
I arrived back to Brazil on Dec 15th, after 40 days in the USA, and
we are back to work as normal. Several meetings, church services, Christmas presentations,
my birthday, however, most important baptism!
On Dec 23rd
Claudio and Erica were baptized. They use to live a comfortable life in the
state of Minas Gerais, but a few years ago Brazil’s economy was not doing well.
So, they decided to sell what they had and move to Sao Paulo, so they could try
surviving in the big city. Not being able to get any steady jobs, they end up
loosing all they had and living in the streets as homeless. This happens a lot
in Sao Paulo, people come from all over Brazil and many countries of the world
and they end up living in the streets.
Through BROLM
(Brazil River of Life Ministries) urban ministry they came to know Jesus Christ
as their Savior. They were embarrassed to reach out to their family in Minas
Gerais to ask for help. Our urban ministry helped them to reconnect back home
and they are moving back to Minas Gerais to work on a potato plantation. However,
before they left, they wanted to be baptized! What a blessing!
Please,
pray for Claudio and Erica as they move back to Minas Gerais, that they will continue
strong in their faith in Jesus Christ, that God will open the doors for them to
share their faith among family and friends, and that they will be able to make
a living back home.
