We were blessed this year with 12 Days to Christmas gifts from anonymous givers; we did share pictures of the first 9 packages that arrived. However we were blessed also with a gift from one of our supporting churches and we decided to use the gift to travel to Pigeon Forge, TN, and spend 3 days (Dec 22-25) at a hotel, this way we could take some time off to rest after about 3 months of Monica being sick in bed. We also were blessed by some cash gifts, gifts cards, gas card and movie tickets and we used them for this trip and we watch The Hobbits on Monday. God has used His people to bless us beyond measurement! Please, accept our gratitude from the bottom of our hearts. May each and every one that has helped us with your love, prayers and generosity during these hard times may the Lord bless you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). Greetings from your coworkers to the Portuguese-Speaking World! We have great news, and also a great opportunity for you!

Brazil River of Life Ministries' (BRoLM) mission is to reach the Portuguese-Speaking World (Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, East Timor, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, São Tome and Principe, Portugal and USA) for Jesus Christ, so they can reach the rest of the world. BROLM believes that its mission can be achieved through its vision of reaching the lost through Evangelism, mentoring and equipping through Discipleship, Planting New Churches, providing Assistance and Justice where needed.

The main reason why BROLM is based in Brazil is because Brazilians have the prospect of becoming even more involved in the Great Commission, in going to the entire world and making disciples of Jesus Christ! Therefore, BROLM started a school to train workers for the harvest - the “Hands ON” Bible College/Leadership Training. The Brazilians are willing to fulfill the Great Commission; however they need to be trained!

To keep the school operating, BROLM needs $7,000 (US Dollar) per year; one of our supporters is challenging other supporters to match their giving towards the “Hands On” Bible College. They will match your giving toward the school in Brazil for up to $2,500 (US Dollar); however you need to act quickly. We have until December 31, 2012 to match this giving.

If you cannot donate towards this matching challenge before Dec 31, 12, you can still give during 2013, and still be considered for this matching challenge. Send us a note saying when and how much you can donate during 2013, and your giving will be considered towards this matching challenge.

Youth Outreach!

The Sao Mateus Church Youth Group conducted the Monthly Youth Outreach at the square, which is close to the church, for safety reasons, on a Saturday morning in Nov. Continue to pray for them; this area of Sao Paulo has a lot of drug dealers and crime! They want to be God’s light that shines outside of the church walls!

The monthly Children's Outreach at Varzea Paulista, was a blessing! On Monday night Brother Marcio and his wife conduct a home group for the adults! BRoLM intends to plan its next congregation at this location. Please, pray that the Lord will open the doors!

Pirituba Church’s 19^th Anniversary!

Our first church plant celebrated its 19th Anniversary! God is good! The Campo Limpo Paulista, Campinas, Jundiai and Sao Mateus Churches came for the celebration.

UPDATE ON MONICA’S HEALTH Dec 12, 12
Dear Friends and Prayer Warriors,
It is great to be part of God’s family! We been blessed with God’s people from all over the world praying for Monica, the only continent that we have not received a report of someone praying for her is Antarctica. As many say “MKs (missionary kids) have friends and best friends all over the world; they don’t have just one best friend.” I am a happy MK and an honor fourth generation minister of the Gospel! We are blessed with Brothers and Sister all over the world! (Mark 10:28-31).
Now about Monica’s appointment! The surgeon said that all the infection is gone, the antibiotic and your prayers did a great job, however the bigger wound is still open and still needs healing, for this reason for the time being he cannot guarantee that she will not need to go through another surgery. It is not 100%, yet! The doctor said that Monica should start slowly with normal activities and see how she feels! She is schedule for the next examination on Jan 7, 2013, our 24th wedding anniversary. The healing process may take another 3 months until the whole wound get totally healed. We are very happy and thankful! God is good!
Thanks for being God’s instrument; your prayers, words of encouragement, cards, phone calls, messages, e-mails, gifts, meals, etc… has blessed us! We feel God’s love through you!
Please, continue to pray for complete healing in Jesus name!

Dear Friends and Prayer Warriors,

We know you been praying for Monica, however, tomorrow 12/12/12 @ 12 pm we will be back to see the surgeon! We believe that the 15 days of antibiotics plus your prayers toke all the infection away.
