Report of May 2021

In the month of May a lot has happened.

Isaac and Monica came to the USA on April 29th and Jeff came on May 13th, the purpose of this trip was to visit some supporting churches and for Roger´s wedding.

Isaac visited SHCC at Seymour, TN, on Sunday May 2nd and it was an amazing visit, being able to see part of our family there and Jamie Leaverton was with Isaac too. However, on that Sunday we received some tough news as our dear friend Jim Knowles passed away.

Jim and Nancy (deceased 2012) Knowles were founders board members for BROLM (Brazil River of Life Ministries) and both served on the board until each went to their eternal home.

For us they were like parents to Jeff and Monica and grandparents to Roger and Isaac.

A friend, great man, elder, pastor, mentor, grandfather, father Jim Knowles will be missed so much and we thank the Lord for his fruitful life.

Jamie´s parents came from Virginia Beach on Saturday, May 15th, and Isaac and Jamie got engaged. They plan to get married when Jamie finishes her ESL degree at Johnson University, May 2022.

We all (Jeff, Monica, Roger, Kaitlyn, Isaac, Jamie, and Jamie´s parents) visited CFC at Kingsport, where Isaac preached and it was a great Sunday celebration. Jeff´s Mom (Libby) and Brother (Richard) were also present.

On Friday, May 21st, Jeff Fife had the honor to marry his oldest son Roger Fife to Kaitlyn French. It was a beautiful wedding and such a cozy day that God provided for their marriage.

On our last Sunday in the USA, May 23rd, we went to FCC at Johnson City, where Isaac had the honor to do communion meditation. The Fife’s were there with three generations of Fifes sitting at the second row celebrating with the FCC family the 150 years of missions!

With the support of our current supporters and more that will come, we believe God will continue to use our lives through BROLM to reach the Portuguese speaking-world for Jesus Christ!

On May 24th, Jeff, Monica, Isaac and Jamie went back to Brazil. Jamie will be in Brazil for 10 weeks doing her official ESL JU internship, thanks for all the gifts towards her internship.

We also thank everyone that has helped us purchase food baskets to help those in need at this time of great need as the pandemic is really affecting many lives in Brazil. Please, pray for us and if you would like to help we can purchase food baskets for USD$15 each and feed a family of 4 with basic food (rice, beans, spaghetti, oil, white flour, salt, sugar etc,) for 15 days.

We thank each one of you for prayers and financial support!
