Report of June 2021

We had an amazing youth retreat! Even with all the regulations needed because of covid, we had an awesome event. Around 40 youth gather on the 26th of June. We had a worship service with participation of youth from the BROLM churches in Sao Paulo, lunch time, free time of fellowship, after a time of games, and another time of fellowship before each of them went to their homes.

We are so excited about the turn out of the ESL classes. Jamie Leaverton is doing an amazing job teaching on Wednesday nights at Campo Limpo and Thursday nights at Pirituba church. Also, she is tutoring two students that are more advanced in the English language. Jamie is reaching her internship goals and more by helping in the ministry with the youth and also helping in the kids ministry. She has taught a part of a worship song for the Sao Mateus youth and taught the Bible story in Pirituba. And she is excited to keep the good work for God’s kingdom.

The blessing of helping those in need at this time of pandemic has been a great blessing and we would like to thank everyone that has helped us! We can continue to use your help, we can purchase food baskets for $15 each. If you would like to send a gift for this purpose please write a memo? For Food Baskets! Thanks!

Report of May 2021

In the month of May a lot has happened.

Isaac and Monica came to the USA on April 29th and Jeff came on May 13th, the purpose of this trip was to visit some supporting churches and for Roger´s wedding.

Isaac visited SHCC at Seymour, TN, on Sunday May 2nd and it was an amazing visit, being able to see part of our family there and Jamie Leaverton was with Isaac too. However, on that Sunday we received some tough news as our dear friend Jim Knowles passed away.

Jim and Nancy (deceased 2012) Knowles were founders board members for BROLM (Brazil River of Life Ministries) and both served on the board until each went to their eternal home.

For us they were like parents to Jeff and Monica and grandparents to Roger and Isaac.

A friend, great man, elder, pastor, mentor, grandfather, father Jim Knowles will be missed so much and we thank the Lord for his fruitful life.

Jamie´s parents came from Virginia Beach on Saturday, May 15th, and Isaac and Jamie got engaged. They plan to get married when Jamie finishes her ESL degree at Johnson University, May 2022.

We all (Jeff, Monica, Roger, Kaitlyn, Isaac, Jamie, and Jamie´s parents) visited CFC at Kingsport, where Isaac preached and it was a great Sunday celebration. Jeff´s Mom (Libby) and Brother (Richard) were also present.

On Friday, May 21st, Jeff Fife had the honor to marry his oldest son Roger Fife to Kaitlyn French. It was a beautiful wedding and such a cozy day that God provided for their marriage.

On our last Sunday in the USA, May 23rd, we went to FCC at Johnson City, where Isaac had the honor to do communion meditation. The Fife’s were there with three generations of Fifes sitting at the second row celebrating with the FCC family the 150 years of missions!

With the support of our current supporters and more that will come, we believe God will continue to use our lives through BROLM to reach the Portuguese speaking-world for Jesus Christ!

On May 24th, Jeff, Monica, Isaac and Jamie went back to Brazil. Jamie will be in Brazil for 10 weeks doing her official ESL JU internship, thanks for all the gifts towards her internship.

We also thank everyone that has helped us purchase food baskets to help those in need at this time of great need as the pandemic is really affecting many lives in Brazil. Please, pray for us and if you would like to help we can purchase food baskets for USD$15 each and feed a family of 4 with basic food (rice, beans, spaghetti, oil, white flour, salt, sugar etc,) for 15 days.

We thank each one of you for prayers and financial support!

Monthly update of April 2021

Dear Friends and Family,

Unfortunately, we have some bad news. One of our dearest pastors, my mentor, teacher of many, friend for a lot of people, and considered part of my family, passed away on the 10th of April. Rubão impacted so many lives, that at his funeral service around 300 passed by the funeral in that quick one hour because of all the regulations. Rubão met my father in 2002 and they became best friends as brothers. In 2006 he came to Campo Limpo church, did the Hands On Bible College, and became an elder in the church. After finishing the HOBC he was separated for pastoral ministry and planted the church in Jundiaí with all the support of the mother church, Campo Limpo Paulista. He was a faithful man, an amazing teacher, pastor, mentor, father of two daughters, two grandsons, and loved Edna, his wife so much. Rubão will be remembered for demonstrating God’s love towards others. If I can put it in two words, Rubão showed Godly love.

Isaac Fife

We would like to thank all of you that have prayed for us and have given towards the Food Baskets, we have been helping many families at these difficult times. If you would like to help, we can purchase and help a family with food baskets for USD15,00 each.

As Isaac mentioned above, we lost one of our best workers that died of a heart attack during the treatment of the Covid pos-syndrome. Ruben Daniel Rodriguez (Robão), was 53 years-old, a schoolteacher, a preacher and a good friend. We have been helping his family and the church in Jundiaí to continue on after such a great loss.

As we mentioned in March´s report, Jamie Leaverton, Isaac´s future wife is coming to Brazil this summer for her official Johnson University Internship, we are helping her raise the funds for this purpose. She needs USD1,500.00 to pay for her tickets and expenses, she will be here from May 25 to August 10. Would you, please, help! Thanks! (Please, mention on your gift Jamie's Internship, Thanks).

Please, continue to pray for us, for good health, wisdom and for God's will in our lives.

Jeff Fife

 TWO URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We pray you all are well!

We have two urgent prayer requests:

1. From March 15th to March 30th the City and the State of Sao Paulo is in emergency lockdown because of Covid. From 8 pm to 5 am no one can be on the streets.

The government has prohibited all businesses that are not considered essential for them to open and they have cut down on public transportation, thus all subways, trains and public buses are packed from 5am to 8 pm..

Would you, please, pray for us in Brasil, at the present we are number one in new cases and deaths in the world for Covid, 22% of all deaths for Covid in the world in the last 5 days was in Brasil.

We are under a great political war too, and the politicians are only thinking about the elections in 2022 and forgot the people that it is suffering with all that is going on. Inflation is sky-high and many of the basic food has doubled in one year.

Many are without any work and pay during these 15 days, would you, please, pray and if you can help us purchase basic food baskets for US$15 each so we can help those that would love to work for food, but cannot even leave their homes.

2. Would you, please, pray for rain in Nampula, Mozambique, where the Brazilian missionaries Kleber and Juracema Ribeiro works. They have 3 big concrete water reservoirs that were built with your generosity a few years ago, since there is no water to be found at their location.

The rainy season ends this month, and they only have one reservoir full and the second half full, it does not rain in the next 6 months. Mozambique has had plenty of rain in the rest of the country, however, in the north not as much.

Would you, please, pray with us for the miracle of rain in Nampula, Mozambique.

Thanks for your prayer, they are vital for us and for the Kingdom!

Blessings,

God is good, all the time; and He is acting among us!

In HIS Love and Service,

Jeff & Monica and Isaac Fife

Report of February 2021

#Somos Um #Life Together 2021

  • On the 20th of February this year, we had the first day of three days a year on BROLM’s retreat of our first youth program day. It is a day at the retreat that was filled with adoration, learning the Word of God, fellowship (#LifeTogether), and fun games! Our Identity of the youth is #SomosUm, meaning we are one. Jesus prayed for us to be one as He is with the Father, and for us as believers to be one with our triune God (John 17:21). That is our identity, so many of the youth of Brazil will believe that God the father has sent the Son our savior. Our theme for 2021 is #LiveTogether, meaning vivendo juntos. We know we are many in the body of Christ, but we are One body in Christ Jesus (Romans 12:5). It was amazing we had 29 youth at the retreat with all the requirements needed because of the pandemic. However, I want to focus on the amazing day God provided. We had our youth service with one of the youth coming back to the Lord’s way. She was far from God and had a habit of smoking, but she said “I want to change and live for Jesus Christ!” She has been to all of the services since then. We had an amazing time of Life Together during lunch and free time. After we had our games, you had to answer the right questions according to bible verses, Biblical historical content, and other Biblical questions. We also had a pie face showdown. After that we had some food before taking the youth to their houses. It was amazing and we are thankful for the BROLM retreat that provided such a great time! Oh yeah we have the Life Together t-shirts! Here is a picture:

Continue to pray with us for:

  • Growth on people accepting Jesus Christ as savior, baptisms, and discipleship programs at the BROLM churches.

  • Hands on Bible College.

  • The youth program #SomosUm #LifeTogether2021.

  • Please pray for Hope School in Mozambique! Their reserves of water are empty, so please pray for God to bring rain and provision of water.

  • For the leaders of the BROLM churches to always preach the truth of the Gospel that is Jesus Christ.

  • For all the ministries of the BROLM churches and services during the week and the weekends.

  • The need for Food Baskets has become greater with the Covid, many people in our churches have lost jobs and have been sick with the virus. If you can help us purchase Food Baskets for US$15 each, we are in great need.

  • As you can see on our video we do NOT have a Meeting Hall at the BROLM Retreat, we need a space to meet and to eat, thus, we are raising $48.000 to build the meeting hall if you can and would like to help us achieve this goal, please, write a memo RETREAT. Thanks

Thank you so much for your support through prayers and financially. Please contact us if you have any questions to Isaac @ isaac@brolm.org or Jeff @  fife@brolm.org

Report of January 2021

“38 Whoever believes in me, as[a] the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water’” (John 7:38).

  • We are grateful first for the provision of God and your partnership in prayer and financially. God is doing amazing work with BROLM to the Portuguse-speaking world! Please continue to pray for us!

Every month, we will highlight a church and what God is doing through this church! In the month of January, we are highlighting Campo Limpo Church. Campo Limpo Church is a church located in the rural area outside of the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil and it was planted by Jeff Fife in 2005. In this month of January on the 30th, we celebrated how much our triune God has done. There has been 16 years of new lives for Christ, people being baptized, discipleships, struggles, and successes. The church in 2021 is coming to a new era of having active youth ready to proclaim the Gospel! The church has grown in numbers, having an average of 53 people even with the regulations and conditions of the pandemic. By the requirements churches can meet physically in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. That’s just a little bit about this amazing local church of Christ Jesus at Campo Limpo Paulista! Wait, this Saturday we had three lives baptized!

Continue to pray for:

  • Growth on people accepting Jesus Christ as savior, baptisms, and discipleship programs at the BROLM churches.

  • Hands on Bible College that will come back on the 1st of February.

  • The youth has been fasting asking for God to do His will, and only do what He can do with “Life Together,” our theme and “We are One” our identity of the youth ministry.

  • The need for Food Baskets has become grater with the Covid, many people in our churches has lost jobs and has been sick with the virus. If you can help us purchase Food Baskets for US$15 each, we are in great need.

Thank you so much for your support through prayers and financially.
